Local lessons to global implications – pathways to effective forest-related policies

Join us on 30 November 2018, at 15:00-19:00 in Bonn to discuss how locally learnt lesson can lead to global implications. We will be highlighting the SFM, FLEGT and REDD policy coherence: impacts, synergies and lessons from local to national level, with case studies from three continents.

• SFM, FLEGT, REDD policy coherence: impacts, synergies and lessons from local to national level, case studies from three continents
• Global lessons on FLEGT-REDD-SFM policy coherence from SAFARI case studies
• From lessons to political success factors for international governance
• FuGo: presentation on selected findings regarding the thematic focus of SAFARI project (e.g. FLEGT, REDD+ and SFM and policy coherence)
• Q&A and Panel discussion: “Local lessons to global implications – pathways to effective forest-related policies”
• Closing remarks: Policy coherence - lessons learned from a policy maker’s point of view- take-home message

The event is free of charge and after the official programme there will be an hour of networking over drinks and snacks. The evening closes at 19:00.
